U12

With an in-depth focus on racing skills and advanced skiing techniques, this program follows the Alpine Canada Long Term Skier Development Plan along with the Snow Stars Development Plan.

This age group has 4 scheduled SCUP Races in their division. A typical race day is 6 hours long and generally ends around 2:00pm. On race weekends, U12 athletes will have training on the opposite day of the race.

Skiers entering the U12 program must be one of the following:

• Be an exceptional recreational skier that can independently ski all runs at Chicopee, confidently uses all lifts at Chicopee unassisted, and is comfortable with speed on a variety of terrain and snow conditions.
• Have successfully completed Advanced-1 (A1) in a Chicopee Snow School program
• Graduates of the U10 Program

Per Alpine Ontario regulations, program participants must be a Chicopee Member for the applicable race season and are required to wear a hard eared helmet. U12 racing development athletes are required to register through AOA. Alpine Ontario registration includes access to the Strive program, invitational races and ski events.

• Dryland Training: (Sundays) Sep 28 to Nov 23, 2025 from 10:00am to 12:00pm (There will be no Dryland on Sunday Oct 12 - Thanksgiving weekend)
• New to Chicopee Race Parent Meeting: Oct 5, 2025 (Register with Guest Services)
• Returning Race Parent Meeting: Oct 26, 2025 (Register with Guest Services)
• Friday Night Gates: Jan 10 to Feb 27, 2026 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm
• Race Events: 4 Scheduled Races, dates TBD
  Note: If race dates overlap with Saturday Trainings, the training will take place on Sunday.
• CARV Ski-a-thon: Feb 27, 2026
• Club Championships: Feb 28, 2026
• Race Awards Social: Mar 29, 2026

• Blue Mountain Mondays 2026: Jan 12, Jan 19, Jan 26, Feb 2, Feb 9, Feb 23 from 9:00am to 3:00pm (Lift ticket not included in fee)
• Chicopee Slalom Camp: Dec 29 & 30, 2025 from 9:00am to 1:00pm
• Invitational Race Events: TBD

NOTE: All Sales are Final.

• If Chicopee cancels your weekly lesson, you will be notified, and the lesson program will be extended, and run on the same day and time. [For the 2025-2026 season there are two possible extensions: Week of MAR 9 TO 15, 2026 and/or MAR 16 to 22, 2026].
• If Chicopee cannot deliver your 9-week lesson program within the season (until MAR 22, 2026), you will be notified, and the cancelled lesson will be credited (prorated value) to your account. This credit may be used to purchase lift tickets, daily rentals, membership, passes, cards, camps and lessons (excludes: retail, food and beverage items).
